FXB Center Submits Comments on Draft Legislation to Prevent Human Trafficking

In December 2013, the Ways and Means Committee released draft legislation to prevent and address the sexual exploitation of children in foster care. According to a statement on the Ways and Means Committee’s website, the draft legislation, beyond increasing efforts to prevent sex trafficking, would “improve the lives of youth in foster care by ensuring they have more normal teen opportunities and experiences, while also providing them with more tools they need to become successful adults.”

The FXB Center for Health and Human Rights has submitted comments on the legislation, written by Angela Duger, Research Associate with the FXB Program on Human Trafficking and Forced Labor. Read the comments here.
