Anne Stetson, MA, JD, is the president of Lighthouse Global Consulting, a strategic consulting firm advising foundations, nonprofit organizations, and investment firms working around the world to advance social and environmental sustainability. Prior to establishing her firm, she worked with the Americas Program of Human Rights First (formerly the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights), and practiced international corporate and investment law for 10 years in New York and in Boston. Stetson serves as a director of the John Merck Fund, the Lookout Foundation, the George B. Storer Foundation, and various nonprofits. She is a past director of Accion International, Physicians for Human Rights, and the Vance Center for International Justice. She is a member of the bars of New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Stetson is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has published articles and books in the areas of human rights, impact investing, and foreign investments. She is fluent in Spanish and French. Stetson holds a BA in English Literature from Yale University, an MA in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a JD from Boston University. She also studied at Columbia Law School, where she co-founded the Journal of Gender and Law, and served as an editor of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review.
