He has been working on issues of violence and peace for several years. He completed his PhD at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. Aguayo writes a syndicated column for 12 Mexican newspapers and participates in talk shows in radio and public television. He is working on the book "Mafias and Cartels. The History of Organized Crime in the United States and Mexico\, 1920-2020."\n
