June 10, 2015. Harvard FXB director Jennifer Leaning, along with Kathleen Hamill and Elizabeth Gibbons, both fellows at the center, participated substantively in the development of Every Woman, Every Child, Every Adolescent, Everywhere: Financing Sexual Reproductive, Maternal , Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health in Every Setting. The report is the outcome of an experts meeting hosted by the World Bank Group and the United Arab Emirates that explored the financial dimensions of the āeverywhereā agenda. From the introduction:
“The data on critical trends in preventable mortality makes apparent that addressing the plight of those living in fragile and humanitarian contexts should be a top priority for the renewed Global Strategy for Every Women Every Child (EWEC GS).
As the work on the renewed GS concludes, as the associated Global Financing Facility (GFF) is launched and as steps are taken to prepare GS implementation plans at country level, the focus must be squarly on extending services and support to better uphold health and wellbeing for every women, every child, every adolescent everywhere.” [Full report]
