As the only university-wide human rights center at Harvard University, we play a critical role in raising awareness throughout Harvard of human rights issues generally and of the inextricable link between health and human rights. We sponsor and participate in periodic university-wide conferences related to our mission and we collaborate closely with other human rights centers in the university community to develop courses and seminars. We serve as a convening force for university faculty across disciplines and for external experts and practitioners who seek to advance new research and policy in the areas of health and human rights. We also teach human rights courses both at the university and at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. In this capacity we supervise students, interns and fellows, and we provide competitive graduate and junior faculty fellowships.
