HHR Journal

DSC_0043The FXB Center’s flagship publication, Health and Human Rights (HHR), provides intellectual leadership in the global effort to realize the right to health, in particular for children and other vulnerable groups. The voices of practitioners, scholars, and activists drive the journal’s vision as a scholarly, peer-reviewed academic journal.

The HHR journal began publication in 1994 under the editorship of Jonathan Mann, who was succeeded in 1997 by Sofia Gruskin. Paul Farmer, co-founder of Partners In Health, assumed the editorship in 2007. After more than a decade as a leading forum of debate on global health and rights concerns, Health and Human Rights became an online open-access publication in the summer of 2008.

Health and Human Rights provides an inclusive forum for action-oriented dialogue among human rights practitioners. The journal endeavors to increase access to human rights knowledge in the health field by linking an expanded community of readers and contributors.

The Health and Human Rights blog encourages action-oriented dialogue among human rights practitioners, featuring unique commentaries by professionals writing from the field, as well as summaries, opinions, and reviews of health and human rights publications, news, and developments.

The journal invites articles on topics relevant to health and human rights. Visit HHR at http://www.hhrjournal.org.
