Khondaker Mohammed Mohiuddin Ekram, MURP

Khondaker Mohammed Mohiuddin Ekram is a Population Health Sciences doctoral student at the Environmental Health department. His research interests involve exploring the nexus between the built environment and health outcomes, and the environmental justice issues arising from this interaction, especially in marginalized communities. He received his Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech, and his Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET).

Prior to joining Harvard, Ekram served as a faculty member at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning in KUET, where his research and teaching efforts were focused on employing evidence-based, participatory methods to evaluate the impact of unplanned urbanization on health outcomes of disadvantaged populations.
